Pepco Energy Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI) is a rapidly growing provider of energy saving solutions such as, Energy Performance Contracting, Thermal Energy Solutions, Electricity Generation and Renewable Energy.  We partner with industrial, commercial, educational, health care, and local, state and federal governments to reduce their energy consumption and expenses.  We seeking a Measurement and Verifications Manager to join our M&V team.  The M&V Manager’s primary job responsibility will be to direct and coordinate staff activities in the design, development and implementation of cost-effective M&V plans and reports for multiple and varied customer ESPC projects.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise staff of engineers and technicians in M&V activity for performance contracts
• Coordinate staff activities to support multiple customers
• Assist/train staff in the use of accepted industry M&V protocols
• Assign and coordinate resources to provide field support of projects in development
• Review, manage and prioritize staff field activities; data analysis activities; and reporting activities
• Develop and improve M&V pricing and project risk management tools for M&V staff
• Conduct technical and financial analyses of project M&V requirements
• Develop and publish M&V plans for new development projects 
• Prepare, produce  and deliver high quality M&V reports and other M&V deliverables efficiently and on time  
• Informs and supports internal and external customers on M&V risk and cost issues
• Participates in project presentations to clients and owners

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• CEM & CMVP required, PE preferred
• 10 years of experience in design and application of energy conservation measures and energy management
• 4 years of management or supervisory experience
• Very strong knowledge of M&V techniques, protocols (IPMVP, FEMP)
• Training and/or experience in statistical analysis methodology and application
• Experience with HVAC, temperature controls, lighting, building energy design, heat and mass transfer (loss/gain) analysis; building and system energy simulation methods and software (Visual DOE, Trace)
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Must have effective communication skills.  Will be expected to work with clients, legal, construction, accounting, and at all levels of the company
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office 2007: Project, Excel, Project and Word, and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience or knowledge of Visual Basic and SQL Server database applications
